We are a collaborative effort of Hampshire and New Forest organisations working together to raise awareness about ticks and preventative measures against tick-borne diseases. With ticks being found across the UK, we are keen to ensure people are equipped with the relevant knowledge while enjoying the outdoors.

ABOUT US >

WHO WE ARE

Tick Aware Hampshire is a collaborative effort of some of the key Hampshire groups and authorities working together to raise awareness about ticks and preventative measures against tick-borne diseases. With ticks being found across the UK, we are keen to ensure people are equipped with the relevant knowledge while enjoying the outdoors.

WHAT WE DO

We are working to raise awareness of ticks and their potential to transmit diseases such as Lyme disease. Ticks are found all across the UK, in forests and in back gardens. With climate change resulting in milder weather, the conditions are favourable for ticks for longer period of the year, resulting in an increase in numbers. Although not all ticks carry Lyme disease, we believe everyone should be equipped with the basic knowledge of how to reduce one's risk of contracting the disease. Please help us to spread the message by downloading our posters and educational resources, getting involved with our awareness events and sharing on social media.
